Ku Club, Ibiza 89

Ku Club, Ibiza… I’ve never been anywhere in the world quite like it.

The Channel 4 documentary ‘A Short Film About Chilling’ featured some great footage from the club during Ibiza 90 and put it firmly at the top of my clubs to visit list.

Closed in ‘91 for substantial repair work to the roof and interior, we didn’t get visit Ku until 1992, and what a night we picked for it. It was the reopening night and I can honestly say that it was (from what I can remember) was one of the wildest and best nights of my life.

It’s lost a lot of the original magic since the Manumission guys took over and it became Privilage, but it’s still well worth a visit.
